Art Purchasing Manager
Essential Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities: Oversee, manage, and supervise the signing of new artists and their work, which fit into the aesthetic of ZK Gallery.
Requirements: BS in Fine Art and two years' of prior experience.
 
Utilize extensive knowledge of European artists and current European contemporary art scene in determining which artists to sign and exhibit at the gallery and in art fair exhibitions. 
 
Serve as an active liaison between the artists and the clients. Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying and selling art, including annual art fair exhibitions and in the gallery.
 
Schedule, organize, and plan annual art fair exhibitions in coordination with the General Manager and CEO.
Facilitate all aspects of exhibitions requirements including insurance coverage, transportation of art works, documentation of art works, announcements and press releases. 
 
Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for artists’ works. Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures for signing of artists. Maintain records of artists’ works ordered and displayed, both in the gallery and on company website.
 
Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to gallery policy and objectives. Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs. Prepare bid awards for artists’ works in coordination with CEO and General Manager.
